This course is a treat. It twists through rock outcrops and along the Atlantic coastline. The ocean is not only distractingly beautiful, but the source of seaside breezes which plays havoc on those long tee shots. The wind is a significant factor at Connemara as there are no sand dunes to provide protection. The flat ground does however allow for spectacular views of the coastline. The outward nine is shorter and flatter than the inward half but the back nine possesses the most memorable holes. The 13 th signature hole is a tough 210 par three with a raised green.
