With just 3 rooms for accommodation and 12 covers in the Restaurant, this is undoubtedly the smallest Golf Hotel & Restaurant in Scotland. Owned and run by Michael & Kerensa Carr, they renovated this Victorian Highland townhouse in the centre of the Royal Burgh of Dornoch in 1995, to high standards of comfort while also ensuring that the character of a family home was preserved. Genial, friendly & hospitable, your golf enthusiast hosts offer a personal service. There is a library and lounge, where you can relax during the day or have drinks before & after dinner. In the intimate setting of the Restaurant, you can look forward to excellent cuisine with honest & attentive service. Michael, who trained at the Ritz Hotel in London, cooks using traditional skills with modern sensitivities using the best of Scottish produce, though flavours from further afield are utilised when needed. Wherever his culinary journey takes him, his commitment to quality is always evident. Awarded two AA rosettes and five stars for its accommodation it is one of the best places to stay and dine in the area. |
